Business: A Small Guide

Spread the love

Business is a subject that can be taught in many different ways. In this post, I will teach business from the perspective of a small business owner. In other words, this post will focus on starting a small business and making it profitable. As an entrepreneur, I have learned so much about starting and running a successful business. Hopefully by reading this guide, you will learn what it takes to start your own company and maybe even launch your new career!

Planning Your Business

Before you get started with anything else in your new business venture, sit down for at least twenty minutes and think about what type of company you want to start or join. Write down the name of the company idea(s), how much money you would like to earn per year from your position within the company (usually it’s best to aim low initially), where do you see yourself working in five years (or even ten if possible), who is going to run/own/lead the organization (if applicable) and finally where do you see yourself in five or ten years time? These questions are important because they allow potential entrepreneurs like yourself take an honest look at themselves before committing their time and energy into something that may not be worth their time when all is said and done. I like to make small business plans when I’m starting out with a new business because it allows me to get an idea of what I want immediately when things are still fresh in my mind. If you’re looking for some inspiration, here’s a link to this awesome list of small business ideas.

Making the Most Out Of Your Money

If you choose to start your own company or become part of someone else’s company, one thing is for certain: You will be spending most, if not all, of your waking hours working with this person or group of people. If the people you are working with are trustworthy and reliable, then it is important that they have their own personal financial goals within sight at all times. You may wonder why this is so important in business relationships? Well, I’ll tell you why: It can help keep everyone motivated and on track to achieve success as a team! Here’s an example: Let’s say John Doe worked as part-time sales associate who earned $8/hour plus commission from his sales each week until one day he decides that he wants more money for himself and his family (who has been growing by leaps and bounds since he started working). He asks his boss Mark Smith if there is any way that his hourly wage could be increased into $10/hour or even $12/hour depending on how much extra work John does over the course of the next month. Mark Smith, being the leader of this small business, agrees to increase John Doe’s hourly wage to $10/hour. Fast forward two months later and John Doe has done so well for himself that not only has he increased his hourly pay from $8/hour to $10/hour, but most recently they offered him a new position as a store manager who is now earning $15/hour plus benefits! The moral of this story is that if you want something you have never had, you have to do something you have never done! If your business relationship is built upon trust and mutual respect then it will be easy for your boss or company owner to reward hard work with more money. And remember: no one ever gets rich working for someone else – at least not in the long run – so always strive for promotions or higher wages through hard work and dedicated effort.

Defining What Businesses You Want To Be In

There are many different types of businesses out there; some small businesses require less start-up capital than others while some small businesses may be more profitable depending on the market they cater too. But that’s a topic for another day.

I hope that I have been a good guide to you in business and that if you stick with it, you will be very successful one day.

Thank you for reading!
